So, just when you think this company has reached the depths of depravity new evidence is uncovered. As part of the “discovery” process, Career Agents Network was required to supply certain documents for our review. One of these documents concerned the other domain names owned by CAN. In reviewing the list I noticed that there were a few domains originated by people I had met and were owner/operators of an HCA and/or CAN membership.
Here’s their list of domain names they own (many are missing):

I started digging a little bit deeper and found that 44 of the domain names “owned” by Career Agents Network were, in fact, the domain names that had been created, developed, and actually “worked” by people listed in the members directory. What this means is that:
- After you paid these people $35-50, 000 dollars (or more!)
- Come up with a domain name for your business
- Had them develop your amateurish website from a stock of templates
- Did everything possible to build the business
- Made thousands of calls and sent thousands of emails promoting the domain name
- Using it as your lifeline for communication with potential candidates and clients
They have Accunet Domain Services renew your domain and transfer ownership to them. Accunet Domain Services is in collusion with Career Agents Network, providing the “base” services during your first year of hosting. They are, according to the customr service people at Enom.com an authorized reseller of their domain products.
Doing this is “technically” legal according to the Terms of Service for Resellers at Enom; however, legal and ethical is a different story. When choosing between that which is legal and that which is ethical, we already know which direction CAN rolls. Most resellers and domain providers provide registrants a 30-42 day “redemption” period, after which the domain name becomes available for public purchase. By transferring ownership to Career Agents Network anyone attempting to contact the domain owner would be rerouted to them.
So, people pay them tens of thousands, bust their butts for months, have their business fail, and when any of the contacts they made try to get in touch with them, CAN picks up the candidate or contract.
We have had both candidates and clients contact us many months after our initial contact because their situation has changed and they desire our services. Another example of exploiting any possibility to make a buck off the back of their prey.
